(More customer reviews)After doing a lot of research into the perfect sleep sack for our baby (whose room is always cold despite cranking the thermostat), I learned that I wanted to avoid synthetic materials as they often contain flame-retardant chemicals. So, I came upon merino wool sleep sacks but always hesitated due to the price... but always came back to them as they were exactly what I was looking for. Since Woolino was somewhat cheaper than its competition (MK), I decided to go for it. The sleep sack arrived quickly and seems to be of a very high quality. Seams are sturdy, the zipper seems hardy, and the merino wool inside is soft and thin, though my baby is always toasty warm inside. There are two snaps over each shoulder and a long zipper along the side and bottom of the sack. Each armhole can be made smaller by using an extra snap, though my 9-month-old is too big to need this feature. The length of the sack can be shortened by folding the bottom of the sack up to about baby's knees, and attaching each side to the bottom corner (now folded up) with a snap on each side. There is a "Woolino" tag sewn to the back, maybe 2" x 3", that has the name and a cute picture of their logo wooly sheep, but it's thin and flexible and isn't a problem at all (as some reviewers complained about on the competition sleep sacks). We've used ours now for a few weeks, having washed it twice, and the inside is starting to get little pills on the wool, but this seems like just a small aesthetic issue. (It's machine washable, which I was worried about with getting wool.) We got the blue color which is pretty accurately represented by the color on the ad, and seems to be a classic enough color that it shouldn't be dated if we use it for more kids in the coming years. Overall, highly recommended!
