They wash and dry easily, and are just the right size to throw across his lap when he is in the car seat or stroller. It's big enough to lay him on in a pinch to change his diaper somewhere, and use as a cover for the shopping cart when you forget your shopping cart cover. Over all, the only cons I see are that it's a bit pricey, and the outer border has a strange gathering to it after a few washes, think the way bacon crinkles along the edges when it it's cooked.
