(More customer reviews)These hats have wider and longer brims than normal, covering more of the child's face than comparative brands. The attached neck cover is also longer and goes further around the hat, covering ears and shoulders (all those delicate little areas that burn on little ones first).
Due to the bright coloring (sun reflection factors) and tight knit of the fabrics, the spf is naturally about 8-10spf in my experience/opinion.
The sizing is a bit small from their website description. In my experience, over age 3 their heads are about the same up to 6 at least....and XL fits perfectly for this age range. However, the L is just slightly too large (still stays on though) for my 1 year old who is otherwise the size of a 2 year old in clothing, weight, height. I prefer to err on the side of room to grow so this is just fine :)
